Rebecca Hausler
Rebecca Hausler is an interdisciplinary scholar of literature, history, and culture. Her research analyzes historical fiction featuring Japanese prisoners of war and civilian detainees of Japanese descent in Australia during the Second World War. She has an upcoming chapter in the edited collection Border-Crossing Japanese Literature, examining translingualism in three novels which depict Japanese civilian internment in Australia. She holds a doctorate from the University of Queensland, where her thesis examined literature depicting the Cowra Breakout.
