Elysha Rei
Elysha Rei is a Japanese-Australian visual artist, Chair of Nikkei Australia, and PhD candidate at the Queensland University of Technology. Rei creates works predominantly in paper cutting, which have been exhibited internationally and translated into public artworks across Queensland, Australia. Her current research is investigating how Nikkei Australian identity is archived through contemporary paper cutting arts practice. Her involvement on the Past Wrongs Future Choices project is as Artist in Residence from February-April 2023 and the Archival Spotlight Lead for ‘Gardens’.
