Harvey Amani Whitfield

Harvey Amani Whitfield is a Professor of North American History at the University of Calgary, specializing in Canadian Colonial slavery and transnationalism in the experiences of African American slaves in Canada. He serves as a member of the Canadian Historical Association, and has authored several publications including:

• Biographical Dictionary of Enslaved Black People in the Maritimes (University Toronto Press, 2022)
• Blacks on the Border: The Black Refugees in British North America, 1815-1860 (2006).
