Jason Butters

Jason Butters is a History-East Asia Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University with a background in Canadian international history and the history of twentieth-century Japanese-Canadian relations. His present research considers the intellectual and cultural exchanges that connected (and continue to connect) the world through modern Japan and Northeast Asia. Originally from British Columbia’s lower mainland, Jason has a BA and MA (history) from Concordia University and an MA from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Law.
