Rachel Iwaasa

Rachel Iwaasa is an Artist in Residence working with the Past Wrongs, Future Choices Project. An acclaimed pianist, her music works to tell her personal family histories through use of instrumentals, sound, and voice. She seeks to combine the realities that were faced by her relatives with her artistry and musical expertise, creating passionate works that envelop historical injustices. She has performed globally, with engagements including Muziekweek Gaudeamus, Vancouver Symphony, and Victoria Symphony.
